Paintings for Good Causes
In 2001, a photographer and an adoption worker created a unique concept called The Heart Galleries which tour around the country showcasing images of kids waiting to be fostered or adopted. The non profit, Painting for Good Causes (PGC), teamed up with The Heart Galleries, finding artists willing to paint portraits of these kids. In 2020, PGC included frontline healthcare workers to their roster.
Here are 16 of dozens I painted in the last five years. Sadly, PGC closed shop in Fall of 2021 due to the death of the passionate founder, Laurie Anspach. I was grateful to be a part of the organization.
All paintings are in oil on canvas. The majority are 14 x 11”.
